    Founded in 1983 by a small group of leading pioneers, the Korean Society of Atmospheric Environment (KOSAE) has grown through the decades to include more than 4,000 members. KOSAE has been the nation's leading educational and research organization promoting scientific and technological development related to the atmospheric environment and air pollution through information sharing and professional collaboration across the public, academic, industry, and policy-making communities. From college students and early-career engineers to project managers, corporate executives, researchers, and educational leaders, KOSAE's members are as diverse as the community. KOSAE serves this wide-ranging community through quality programs in continuing education, training, and professional development, research, conferences and publications, government relations, and other forms of outreach.

JSAE(Japan Society for Atmospheric Environment)
  • Organization and Objectives

    The Japan Society for Atmospheric Environment (JSAE) was originally established in 1959 as a voluntary organization dedicated to the study of air pollution. In 2024, the society proudly celebrated its 65th anniversary.JSAE is an interdisciplinary academic organization comprised of experts from a wide range of fields, including physics, chemistry, biology, medicine, engineering, policy, and public health. The society conducts scientific research and investigations related to atmospheric environment and promotes the dissemination of these findings to contribute to the preservation and improvement of air quality.Through activities such as annual conferences, symposiums, publication of academic journals, research presentations, and support for young researchers, JSAE fosters information exchange and collaboration among its members. The society also actively engages with government agencies and local communities, providing scientific insights to support sustainable environmental policies and practices.Moving forward, the Japan Society for Atmospheric Environment remains committed to serving as a bridge between academic knowledge and practical action, contributing to the realization of a healthier and more sustainable atmospheric environment.

CSES(Chinese Society for Environmental Sciences)

    The Association of Atmospheric Environment (AAS) of Chinese Society for Environmental Sciences (CSES) was established in 1978 as one of the branches of CSES (a National 5A-level academic society), which is affiliated with the Chinese Research Academy of Environmental Sciences. Since its establishment, AAS-CSES has continuously expanded its membership and has become one of the most influential academic organizations and the largest scientific community in the field of atmospheric environment protection in China. AAS-CSES serves as a comprehensive platform for academic exchange among professionals in atmospheric environmental science, environmental engineering, environmental education, and environmental management in China. This platform plays a proactive role in facilitating explorations on major scientific issues and hot topics in the frontiers of atmospheric research, showcasing the latest advancements in atmospheric environmental science and technology, strengthening academic exchanges and collaboration with renowned domestic and international atmospheric science experts, enhancing the overall academic level of atmospheric environmental studies in China, and addressing critical national atmospheric environmental challenges. Adhering to its mission of promoting academic exchange, disciplinary development, technological innovation, scientific services, education and training, and public outreach, AAS-CSES is committed to advancing China’s air pollution control efforts from theory to practice and supporting the continuous improvement of air quality in China.

MAAQR(Malaysia Association for Aerosols and Air Quality Research)
  • Organization and Objectives

    Malaysian Association for Aerosols and Air Quality Research (MAAQR) is an organisation for researchers who desire to promote and disseminate their aerosols and air quality-related research. This association has been registered via the Malaysian Registrar of Society (ROS) in October 2022. The members of MAAQR consist of researchers from various universities, research institutions as well as relevant industries in Malaysia. It brings together experts, researchers, and stakeholders to promote scientific collaborations and knowledge sharing and to develop solutions for air pollution challenges in the country. MAAQR supports conferences, workshops, and publications for sustainable air quality management and environmental protection.
