ONE ATMOSPHERE - MAKING THE CONNECTIONS

With this notice is the programme for this year¡¯s Annual Meeting hosted in Paris by APPA in conjunction with EFCA and the Global Atmospheric Pollution Forum.
The aim of this year's meeting is to explore further the critical issues in air pollution science and policy opened up by the Union¡¯s Vancouver Declaration of last September.
• Air pollution and its relationship to eco-system services and biodiversity
an important session, assembled by APPA, will bring together many of the leading international experts in the field.
• Air pollution and climate change
in particular the impact on both health and climate of Particles, Methane and Ozone.
• Strengthening international co-operation on air pollution
to hear latest developments and review progress with the Union¡¯s policy proposals.
Contributors will include Markus Amann - giving a Keynote Address; and Robert Hoft from the UN Convention on Biodiversity.
An open meeting of the Global Atmospheric Pollution Forum will be held on the afternoon ofWednesday 28 September, before the conference, and the International Board of the Union will meet on Saturday morning, 1 October. The agenda for the Board Meeting will be circulated shortly.
The Registration Fee of ¢æ70.00 has been set to simply to cover the lunchtime buffets and coffee breaks.
For those wishing to participate in the Conference Dinner on a boat cruise on the River Seine the cost is ¢æ80.00.
